Job Description
***Only qualified Java Developer candidates currently located in the Raleigh, NC area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
The selected candidate will fill the role of Java Mid-Level Technical Specialist on the Client Traffic Records Systems (TRS) to backfill the current team as they develop the eCrash /CRIS project. TRS supports the Client Crash Data Management and Traffic Safety in collecting, analysis, and distribution of motor vehicle accident information.
Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, or Engineering or related technical discipline.
Desired Certifications:
• Java Certification
Required Skills and Experience:
• Experience programming in Java/JEE, Oracle, and XML (3 Years)
• Experience with Web Services, JSP, Servlets, Spring, Struts, Eclipse IDE, and version control tools (3 Years)
• Demonstrated ability in application analysis and design, cost analysis, estimating staffing needs, testing, documentation, and implementation (3 Years)
• Experience providing technical helpdesk support (3 Years)
• Must have proven experience with enterprise level software development programs
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Visual C++, .NET, CORBA, EJB, and Hibernate
• Demonstrate effective communications in oral and written form. Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Java Developer Responsibilities:
• Will be part of the application maintenance team serving as the technical specialist and consultant by independently managing complex Java projects and providing critical second level 24×7 on-call support
• Will work with Business Owners in the translation of customer requests into technical request and user stories, coordinates software release schedules with the Business and Technical Team, develops
business requirements and provides testing and training support.
Additional Details:
• Hybrid role requiring the candidate to be on site rarely, perhaps once a month but the candidate must be located in the Raleigh, North Carolina area to be considered
• This position requires in-person interviews
