Adjunct Faculty: Associate Degree in Nursing Program

Anticipated Start Date: May 1, 2025
Job description: Adjunct faculty to create a course outline of record (COR) for each new nursing course and draft the Program Narrative to be submitted to the State Chancellors Office. Templates will be provided for the CORs and Program Narrative.
Create CORs for the following new courses:
NURS100 Foundations of Nursing Practice Nursing
NURS101 Nursing Care of the Medical Surgical Patient I
NURS102 Pharmacology for Nursing Practice
NURS103 Nursing Care of the Medical Surgical Patient II
NURS104 Nursing Care of the Psychiatric-Mental Health Client
NURS201 Nursing Care of the Medical Surgical Patient III
NURS202 Nursing Care of Maternal Newborn Patients
NURS203 Nursing care of Children and Adolescents
NURS204 Nursing Care of the Medical Surgical Patient IV
Create the Program Narrative to be submitted to the California Community Colleges Chancellors Office.
Compensation at the applicable adjunct rate of 5 hours for major revisions (new CORs) per course and up to 5 hours for the creation of the Program Narrative.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The minimum qualifications for this adjunct lecturer pool can be met in one of three ways:
Masters in nursing
OR
Bachelors in nursing
AND
Masters in health education or health science
OR
the equivalent
OR
The minimum qualifications as set by the Board of Registered Nursing, whichever is higher.
Must show a demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
COMPENSATION: $77.02-$90.50 per hour.
REQUIRED MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION:
Letter of Introduction describing how you meet the minimum and desired qualifications.
A current Resume
Complete transcripts of all college/university coursework (unofficial transcript is acceptable).
Copy of your current RN License issued by the BRN.
