Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Current and unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts.
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Prior experience in labor and delivery, obstetrics, or womens health preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct care to mothers during labor, delivery, and recovery.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal vitals, contractions, and labor progress.
  • Assist with inductions, pain management, and emergencies.
  • Educate and support mothers and families.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
  • Provide postpartum care, newborn assessments, and discharge education.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and best practices.
  • Respond to obstetric emergencies.
  • Maintain a safe and sterile environment.
