Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current and unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts.
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Prior experience in labor and delivery, obstetrics, or womens health preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to mothers during labor, delivery, and recovery.
- Monitor maternal and fetal vitals, contractions, and labor progress.
- Assist with inductions, pain management, and emergencies.
- Educate and support mothers and families.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
- Provide postpartum care, newborn assessments, and discharge education.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and best practices.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies.
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment.
