Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the Service portfolio is delivered effectively accord-ing to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers. Each day, you will execute technical support, act as a specialist, and solve problems in your own area of expertise. You will also showcase your expertise by communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams proactively to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth.The work model for the role is: #LI – RemoteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in NY. Main stakeholders are both our internal and external customers.You will be mainly accountable for:Providing technical support and solving problems in own expertise area via remote or on-site service in any Service category.Determining effective Service applications, equipment, and methods to develop, market, or manufacture new Service offerings to respond to customer requirements cost-effectively.Providing technical consulting on Service solutions to management and customers.Identifying new sales opportunities, proactively communicating both with the customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, re-lated field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Support or a related role, with a focus on Critical Power Sys-tems (Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Power Distribution, Static Switch, Battery, and Power Conditioning Systems).
- NETA Certification preferred.
- NICET Certification preferred.
- CompTIA Certification preferred.
- Licensed Electrician preferred.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
