Position ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibility of the National Accounts Manager will be selling into the “senior level suite” of large agricultural companies, as well as recruiting large row crop growers and dairy producers. The position will require working your way through the corporate hierarchy to reach the senior suite, then to be able to make a compelling case using your intelligence and relying heavily on your ability to articulate a complicated concept. This will require developed skills in both phone and in-person selling.We anticipate travel to be at least 20% of the time to meet with clients. You will be working in a variety of industries so you must demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adaptable. Being able to quickly grasp and then communicate concepts is also a vital skill.As part of the job interview you will be asked to provide demonstrable success selling to producers in the row crop or dairy markets.Sales RecruitmentProspecting and pursing prospects via phone and email: During the recruitment periods of an Xchange program(s), an expectation of 40+ outgoing calls per day to identify client development opportunitiesIdentifying client needs and interests, inquiring about details of current initiativesCollecting participation agreements (contracts) from clients to utilize VerticalXchange servicesClient Retention & Relationship ManagementWork closely with client to manage expectations of Xchange preparation.Ensure that all aspects of our services and processes run smooth for the clientAssist with the matching process and preparationTravel Expectations (National – Continental United States)Travel to industry events as necessary to meet with clientsDrive and fly to client locations for in-person sales meetingsAttend the Xchange(s) with the event teamPreferred QualificationsEducation/BackgroundBachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, or communicationsGenuine interest in the profession of sales and relationship managementTeamwork/Team Player skillsThrive in a team environment and work well with othersEnjoy working as a team member as well as independentlyCommunication SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEmphatic listener and persuasive speakerExcellent presentation and negotiation skillsBusiness/Sales Skills3-5 Years sales experience in dairy production and/or row crop productionAbility to self-manage and motivated to succeedPossess entrepreneurial spiritCompetitive attitudeStrategic thinkingCompensation Salary & CommissionCompetitive base salary depending on industry experience and abilityCommission plan for each XchangeCompetitive Benefits ProgramMedical and dental insuranceIRA contributionsLife insurance and long-term disability coveragePaid vacation and sick leave
