About the RoleWere looking for an Assistant Electrical Project Manager to support the execution of federal/military construction projects, ensuring operations run smoothly from start to finish. Youll serve as a critical liaison between the Project Manager and field teams, working primarily onsite to keep timelines, logistics, and compliance tightly on track.This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed journeyman or experienced field professional looking to transition into project management.
Responsibilities

  • Track and maintain project schedules; proactively adjust to evolving field conditions
  • Troubleshoot installation issues and support resolution in real-time
  • Ensure all work complies with contract terms, technical specs, and applicable codes
  • Coordinate and participate in preparatory meetings
  • Collaborate with prefab and electrical design teams
  • Order materials in line with approved design and project requirements
  • Manage jobsite logistics for tools, materials, and equipment
  • Support field teams and ensure compliance with company and federal safety protocols
  • Work with the Superintendent and Project Manager to resolve field issues and maintain progress
  • Foster strong communication and trust with government clients and subcontractors

What Were Looking For

  • California Journeyman License preferred or strong trade experience in federal/military environments
  • Ambitious, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow into a full Project Manager role
  • Familiarity with NEC, safety codes, and DoD construction standards
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Strong computer and documentation skills ( , MS Office, project tracking software)

Reliable transportation and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A licensed electrician ready to shift into leadership
  • Someone who thrives in structured, mission-critical environments
  • Prior experience with military base projects, Corps of Engineers, or NAVFAC is a big plus
  • Committed to team collaboration, quality control, and on-time delivery
