Genetic Counselor Manager (Cancer) Check below to see if you have what is needed for this opportunity, and if so, make an application asap. – (The Department of Clinical Genetics of Fox Chase Cancer Center invites applications for a full-time Genetic Counselor Manager position. In this newly created role, this individual will partner with departmental leadership to optimize our growing genetic counseling practice. The Genetic Counselor Manager will be responsible for hiring, retention, and development of the genetic counselors and genetic counseling assistants within the department. Also, provide genetic counseling services and care coordination to patients in the practice with ability to apply an expert application of knowledge and skills in complex situations. Our Risk Assessment Program was established in 1991 as one of the first in the nation to offer comprehensive services aimed at personalizing cancer risk estimation, prevention, and early diagnosis. Since that time, our high-volume clinical program has expanded beyond main campus operations with weekly genetic counseling appointments offered at our Buckingham, Chestnut Hill, East Norriton, and Temple main sites, which is supported by our 8 genetic counselors. Our program also includes high-risk screening clinics that offer long-term follow up care for those at risk for breast, gastrointestinal, ovarian, prostate, and other cancer risks that are run by our department faculty and 3 advanced practice providers. Masters Degree: from an ABGC accredited Genetic Counseling program (Required) 10 Years experience as a cancer genetic counselor (Required)3 Years experience in management of genetic counseling services (Preferred) ABGC – Amer Bd of Genetic Counseling (Required) GC-LIC – PA Genetic Counselor License (Required)_ Temple Health is a dynamic network of outstanding hospitals, specialty centers, and physician practices that is advancing the fight against disease, pushing the boundaries of medical science, and educating future healthcare professionals.
