Layne , a leading provider of water resources (drilling water wells, performing well services, and performing pump installations) and mineral drilling services, is seeking hard working and highly physical candidates who want to learn an in-demand trade to join their team of Entry Level Drilling Technicians in the Phoenix, AZ area. This job requires 100% travel and flexibility to work different shifts.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to routinely lift drill tools and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Assist crew chief in maintenance and repairs to drill rig and other assigned equipment.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Collect and correctly mark drill samples to be analyzed.
- Assist in moving drilling rig and equipment from site to site and equipment set up.
- Operate equipment such as pumps, air compressors, front end loaders, forklifts, telehandlers, backhoes, mixing and managing drill fluid, and more (after training)
- Carry out minor maintenance and repairs, including lubrication and cleaning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Extensive travel, including overnight, is required.
