This position is for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with innovative attitude to work in the Engineering department in Wilton Factory. Candidate will work with cross-sectors employees to develop new manufacturing processes for new product introduction and improve existing processes for volume production and will be a mentor for the broader production engineering team Education and experience Bachelors Degree in an engineering field with 6+ years of manufacturing or production experience Masters Degree in a engineering field with 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment Leading and mentoring junior Module production engineers – Support in-production issues escalated by FLS with concise troubleshooting and action plans. -assisting in the design of engineering solutions and the validation process to enable the realization of a design brief – Drive process improvement initiatives and cycle time reduction. – Review failure analysis reports from suppliers and help validate the root-cause of the failure. -Interface with internal and external customers to address module failure root cause analysis and corrective actions. -Structural trouble shooting of electro-mechanical tools on a functional level and managing technical uncertainties at a sub-module level -developing creative solutions to solve uncertainties in production -developing technical concepts including material choices using team input, design architecture -Integrate sub-systems and execute configuration management and provide support to projects -Perform verification of SDS, verify design specifications from team members and contribute to the testing process Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. working on platforms; and working around chemicals.
