The Wound Ostomy Nurse plays a vital role in the healthcare team, providing expert care to patients with wound, ostomy and continence needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing patient needs and developing personalized care plans
- Providing high-quality wound, ostomy and continence care to patients in their homes or in healthcare settings
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
- Documenting patient progress and outcomes accurately and effectively
Requirements for Success:
- Bachelor‘s Degree in Nursing with a strong foundation in wound, ostomy and continence nursing
- Completion of an accredited course in Wound, Ostomy and Continence
- Current National Provider BLS certification and Oregon Registered Nurse License
- Certification as a Enterostomal Therapist by the Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board within 90 days of hire
- At least 2 years of experience in wound, ostomy and continence nursing with a proven track record of delivering exceptional patient care
