About The Position
Flexible Scheduling & Low Patient Volume | Pediatric Assignment in CA

Highlights

- Flexible scheduling-cover 5 to 10 days per month

Practice Setting
- Level II Nursery within a Tenet-owned facility
- Inpatient care with a focus on healthy newborns
- Team includes 2 full-time physicians and support staff
- Collaborative environment with strong local leadership
Schedule
- 24-hour call shifts (7 AM to 7 AM)
- Morning rounds followed by hotel-based call with 30-minute response time
- Approximately 2-4 hours of hands-on patient care per shift
- Ongoing monthly need for 5-10 shifts
Procedures and Cases
- Attend deliveries and respond to nursery and ED calls
- Average census fewer than 2 patients-primarily healthy newborns
- No circumcisions required
Requirements
- Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Active California medical license
- DEA and PALS certifications
