National Director of Commercial Roofing
Job Description

- Salary Range: $110,000 – $140,000
- OTE Commission Range: $40,000 – $80,000
- Vehicle Allowance or Company Vehicle (based on availability and at company discretion).
Region: Primarily supports the Northwest (Mountain) Region, with candidates living near one of our Colorado office locations preferred.
Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 75%, adopting a boots-on-the-ground approach.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall Management
- Cultivates and promotes the BluSky credo, core values, service commitments, 96% Proof, and overall BluSky culture.
- Fosters and promotes a collaborative and mutually beneficial and supportive relationships between Operations, Business Development, and other company business units.
- Sets and monitors goals for the overall team and tracks the financial performance of each project monitoring key metrics such as costs versus estimate, schedule versus plan, resource allocation and resource productivity, billing and collections, cash flow and profitability.
- Develops and coaches Project Managers and Superintendents on proper processes, methodologies, and concepts & techniques for construction management to improve overall employee and CR team value.
- Leads construction teams through change, growth, and new concepts.
- Promotes and adheres to safety standards and all local and national codes.
Ensure Proper Project Execution
- Organizes, assigns, and directs all commercial roofing projects, either directly or through assigned personnel.
- Drives revenue production, profitability, proper subcontracting, schedule creation & adherence, budget reporting, and projections.
- Drives customer satisfaction.
Perform Project Reviews
- Performs 1 on 1 project reviews of project finances, contract management, change orders, and other construction documents and reports potential issues.
- Proactively develops solutions to address potential issues.
- Ensures the company’s ethical and legal obligations are met.
- Oversees construction safety implementation for zero incidents and reporting for their territory.
- Oversees project construction for quality compliance with specifications, codes, and installation techniques.
- Travels (including air travel) across the U.S. approximately 60% of the time.
- Increases customer satisfaction levels and customer retention.
- Ensures proper customer management throughout the construction process.
- Develops and maintains viable relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors, subcontractors and trade personnel. Attends scheduled customer or job progress meetings, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, or 10+ years full time construction management experience with sophisticated commercial, state, university, or federal clientele. (Preferred)
- Demonstrated successful leadership of multiple construction projects and project managers over a large and diverse territory.
- In depth knowledge of major roofing systems i.e. BUR, EPDM, TPO/PVC, Mod-Bit etc.
- Strong business ethics, integrity, and ability to perform in highly autonomous environments.
- Excellent oral and written communication and team management skills.
- Strong computer and technology skills.
- Ability to travel (including air travel) approximately 60% of the time.
- Construction of multi-family, hotel, and multi-building campus experience. (preferred)

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS:
The noise level in the work environment can range from quiet to significantly loud. The employee must regularly lift and/or move between 25-50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle material, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee is required to regularly move and walk around the office.
