he Danfoss Data Center team is adding a Quality Specialist role to enhance customer satisfaction through timely communication of product returns on material non-conformance(s) while exceeding internal (Danfoss sites) and external (OEM and distributors) customer expectations. The Quality Specialist will lead the customer corrective action process and support the manufacturing team during root cause elimination and identification of effective corrective actions.

This role will be responsible for all Data Center products sold in North America and have direct responsibilities with the Reynosa, MX and Van Wert, OH manufacturing locations as well as some communication with EMEA and APAC manufacturing plants. The Quality Specialist role will report to the Global Operations Manager and will work onsite in our Van Wert, OH facility. Relocation and work authorization support will not be supported for this position.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

Participate in continuous improvement strategies, while ensuring customer specific requirements are maintained.
Perform process/product audits based on control plan requirements. Daily review customer portals.
Verify and analyze materials returned from customers relative to performance standards and/or procedures and document findings. Report findings and process returns for cause and corrective action.
Use gauges and test equipment as required to verify conformance of the product to the standards.
Work with the Production Operations team in the development of Process FMEAs, Process Control Plans, Measurement System Analyses, and Process Capability Methods & Requirements.
Correspond with external customers, Danfoss Customer Support, and internal quality teams to inquire and advise status of analysis.
Lead and drive cause and corrective actions in compliance to our customer specific requirements on 8D/CAPA timing.
Work to enhance Danfoss and customer relationships through effective partnering and communication.
Establish systematic process for documenting and retaining quality data so it is readily accessible.
Work to learn, apply, and retain new techniques, concepts and procedures required for continuously improving products, processes, services, deliveries, and overall quality.
Lead containment efforts at customer locations and Danfoss manufacturing within 24 hours of issue reported.

Bachelors degree in engineering discipline or technical field is required
Possess a minimum of 2+ years of quality experience
Working knowledge of inspection and testing equipment is required
Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications (GD&T), process control plans, PFMEAs, routers, job instructions, standardize work, and basic statistical methods
Proficient in AIAG Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC and FMEA) is required
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, SharePoint, Power BI, Minitab are a plus, and SAP is strongly recommended
Must possess excellent presentation and communication skills
Must have analytical thinking, problem solving experience, sense of urgency, and managerial courage.
Ability to work under stress and challenging deadlines
Understanding and applying of ISO/IATF16949, AIAG PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC and FMEA and other quality system standards and tools are essential.
Ability to travel when needed
