**Senior General Accountant**
**Location:** Highland, IL
**Duration:** Permanent

**Description: **
A senior role in the Accounting/Finance department, providing analytical support, leading projects, and assisting general accountants. Responsibilities include monthly/annual closings, budgeting, inventory, and potentially payroll, tax, or cost accounting. Reports to the Corporate Controller.
**Essential Duties: **
– Lead and manage projects from start to finish.
– Support department needs during technical/capacity challenges.
– Handle monthly/annual financial close processes and statement preparation.
– Perform account analysis, journal entries, reconciliations, and audit schedules.
– Assist in budgeting and ensure accurate general ledger entries.
– Additional tasks may include fixed asset tracking, cost accounting, tax filings, and process improvements.
**Requirements: **
– Bachelors degree in accounting or related field.
– 5+ years of experience.
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Oracle experience a plus).
– Willingness to travel as needed.
