We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in the design, development, and optimization of Class 8 mixer vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy-duty vehicle systems, a passion for innovation, and expertise in mechanical design, vehicle dynamics, and component integration. This role will involve leading complex engineering projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Design and Development: Lead the design, analysis, and validation of mechanical systems and components for Class 8 vehicles, including chassis, suspension, powertrain, and structural elements. System Integration: Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with vehicle electronics and control systems. Prototype and Testing: Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical components to ensure performance, durability, and compliance with SAE, DOT, and EPA standards. Project Leadership: Manage engineering projects from concept to production, including timeline, budget, and resource allocation, while mentoring junior engineers. Drive continuous improvement in vehicle performance, fuel efficiency, and weight reduction through advanced materials and design techniques. Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion360) and PLM systems. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet federal and state regulations, including FMVSS, EPA emissions standards, and safety requirements. Supplier Collaboration: Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure component quality, cost-effectiveness, and production feasibility.
