Summary
This position reports to the Associate Dean for Student Success & Enrollment Management, but also works with the Dean, Associate/Assistant Deans, and other A&S staff as needed. This staff member provides leadership and oversight of the college’s undergraduate student recruitment and outreach initiatives, assists in the meeting of enrollment goals, represents the college as needed at internal and external events (including high school visits, college fairs, etc.) related to student recruitment and outreach.
Essential Functions
Assist the Associate Dean for Student Services & Enrollment Management and the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences with the planning and execution of initiatives specific to undergraduate student recruitment and outreach, both external and internal. This includes collaboration with chairs and directors of A&S units, A&S faculty, as well as other college staff members to assist in developing, implementing, and assessing recruitment strategies and procedures related to undergraduate recruitment and prospective student outreach within the college.
Coordinate and assist in the planning and execution of College of Arts & Sciences’ participation in BGSU recruitment events such as Preview Days, Presidents Day, Falcon Fridays, and other university, college, and unit-level recruitment events, including the college’s study abroad programs. Assist in the developing of new recruitment and promotional events highlighting the college’s programs or units. Actively participate in external events such as high school recruitment visits, college fairs, study abroad fairs, etc. and work with high school teachers, counselors to promote A&S academic and study abroad programs.
Coordinate prospective student/family visits to A&S units; lead facility tours as needed and coordinate the scheduling of student visits with unit faculty/staff.
Serve as a point of contact for and assisting prospective/admitted students in the transition from prospect through matriculation. Serve as a resource or referral source for students seeking various types of assistance or information.
Represent the college and/or its programs as needed on campus committees, campus events, and to external audiences as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
The following Degree is required:
Bachelor’s Degree. Degree must be conferred at time of application.
The following Experience is required:
2 years of experience in admissions or student affairs
The following Experience is preferred:
Experience with academic, career, or program advising, or event planning/public relations
