Nuclear Medicine Technologist
~ Discipline: Allied Health Professional
~ Shift: 8 hours, days
~ Employment Type: Travel
ARRT(N) or NMTCB registered or equivalent state license for nuclear medicine technology or completion of a training program in nuclear medicine.
Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.

Explains test procedures and safety precautions to patients and provide them with assistance during test
Administers radiopharmaceuticals or radiation to patients to detect diseases, using radioisotope equipment,
under direction of physician.
Produces a computer-generated or film image for interpretation by a physician.
Disposes of radioactive materials and stores radiopharmaceuticals following radiation safety procedures.
Prepares stock radiopharmaceuticals, adhering to safety standards that minimize radiation exposure to
Maintains and calibrates radioisotope and laboratory equipment.
Gathers information on patients illness and medical history to guide the choice of diagnostic procedures for
therapy.
Geiger-counters, scintillometers and other laboratory equipment.
