Requirements:

  • Valid and active Registered Nurse State license
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree.
  • Previous nursing leadership experience, preferably in a Director of Nursing role.
  • BLS certification

Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective guidance, creating a collaborative and positive work atmosphere for nursing personnel.
  • Manage and coordinate patient care, upholding established protocols and ensuring top-quality service.
  • Recruit, train, and oversee nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
  • Ensure quality assurance by maintaining regulatory compliance, infection control, and patient safety.
  • Create and implement educational programs and training to enhance nursing staff skills and knowledge.
  • Efficiently manage the nursing department budget, optimizing resources without compromising care quality.
  • Ensure nursing staff complies with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Champion patients’ needs, addressing concerns to promote patient-centered care.
  • Collaborate with quality improvement teams to pinpoint trends and areas for patient care enhancement.
  • Maintain precise and timely records of patient care, assessments, and departmental activities.
  • Contribute to strategic plans and initiatives aimed at improving nursing services.
